Got my first chance to play the FELT POLAROIDS from Rainbow Splendour last weekend. Polaroids are so hot right now! And these felt ones, teamed with a heart, are great for any layout. I layered mine with vellum paper, patterned paper, washi tape, rubons and stickers!
Red and white, with touches of silver - glitter, silver vellum heart paper, brads and sequins. Shiny stuff makes me happy! ;)
A close up of the polaroid, with overlapping stickers and glitter chipboard pieces.
And Rainbow Splendour leaves are PERFECT to house sticker words and titles, like the gorgeous silver Heidi Swapp glitter word.
I hope you guys have a chance to play with some polaroids, or other Rainbow Splendour goodies.... Please share your pages on our Facebook page - everyone on the design team LOVES seeing your creations!
Hi Rikki here today, with a quick share and my last share of the month. I have to admit I am not the best at card making, there is something about it that does my head in, maybe its the scale or maybe I wish I could pull off those stunning cards which have everything on it and it looks perfect and effortless.
Its not me yet, maybe one day but I am not going to get any better unless I dont try right? So I bring to you my humble cards... some of you might notice that they match my first layout that I shared at the start of the week. I decided to make use of those scraps and make two quick thankyou cards. They are the same in layout but with a few quick changes of the embellishments they look and mean totally different things.
I love Rainbow Splendour's Felt Butterflies.....
Why not use one of the Rainbow Splendour's Paper Clips on a tag, this would look just as good on a layout.
Thanks for looking, and I cant wait to share with you next month.
Hi Rikki here today with another post. This time I thought I would share with you a layout that I did for a recent cyber crop for Scrapbook Savvy. It was based on a colour, word and technique challenge ; Blue + Family + Stamping.
So with the challenge in hand I set off to create the perfect mixed media layout, which was easy enough, but once again it comes down to the perfect embellishment. After hunting around probably more time than it took to create the layout I remembered I had the teal bow from Rainbow Splendour......
Hi Rikki here, as promised yesterday I thought I would share with you a simple layout but it definitely has the wow factor.
I have been of late been playing with mixed media, with this style of scrapbooking you tend to do a lot of work on the backgrounds and the last thing you want to do is cover up the hours of work that you have done with papers and embellishments.... sometimes all you need is one perfect thing!
Isn't it perfect? The Rainbow Feathers (teal) add the most elegant touch.
That's my share today, remember its all about the finishing touches.
WOW! It's Amanda here!
So excited to be here, doing my FIRST blog!
I was lucky enough, last weekend, to go away on a very fun and productive Scrap Retreat in Melbourne. Had to fly from my hometown of Brisbane (think... organised packing required!), but of course I included some Rainbow Splendour embellishments.
So today I am sharing just some of the layouts I created on the weekend.
I am totally loving the Rainbow Splendour bows!
Used a yellow felt flower on this layout, for this month's challenge at Scrap the Boys.
More of those leaves! And also one of the cute foam butterflies!
Ha! I was clearly in a 'layering leaves' kinda mood - and why not, with these beauties???
The cork leaves are so awesome, and co-ordinate perfectly with some of the latest cork embellishments hitting the scrap shops lately.
I love adding those felt flowers to my embellishment clusters - like in this page I created for the February challenge at 123 Challenge.
When I received my last order, Chloe had included the cute file clip in aqua, complete with bling,
and wouldn't you know it - the colour was PERFECT for this layout!
Hope you got some ideas and inspiration for your next project! Thanks for looking!
